Match Report AA1 V Mascot Kings 22/04/12
/Mascot 1 BUFC 1
BUFC dropped their 1st points of the season away to Mascot.
After a slow start to the 1st half BUFC carved out the 1st few chances with ‘The Stallion’ coming closest when sent through 1 on 1, he was unfortunate to see his effort go agonisingly wide of the far post. Tom never had a save to make and Chris Moore looked to have gained an extra yard of pace after a trip to the local butchers that morning to get his barnet chopped.
In the 2nd half BUFC again made the most chances before being awarded with a penalty after a handball. The Grynch took on the responsibility and cooly slotted into the bottom corner.
The celebrations where short lived and Mascot scored with their only really memorable chance with a fine strike giving Tom no chance.
With the game in the balance both teams where pushing for a winner when with 12 minutes left on the clock a Mascot player appeared to break a nail and the game was forced to come to an early finish with the points shared. (Edit – the unfortunate Mascot player has smashed his wrist and is out for three months – good luck with your recovery.)
Take nothing away from Mascot they fought hard and deserved not to lose the match but they will see it as a point gained while BUFC will definitely see it as 2 points dropped. Next up for BUFC is Locomotive Cove at the House of Pain and nothing other than 3points will do.
*Michael Michael unfortunately had to leave the ground early after becoming concerned when he farted and a condom fell out.
