It all started when...
Thursday 28th May 1987 was the day it all started for Barnstoneworth United FC. A meeting held at the home of Graham Rumble was the starting point for this humble club which all originated from this classic Ripping Yarns video. The idea of the club was to copy the style of the original team, it’s name and colours and was agreed that the keystone should be good fellowship and god sportsmanship at all times.
Fast forward to the present day and Barnstoneworth United are still competing in the Eastern Suburb Football Association (ESFA) competition. Having had a number of teams in the past compete across multiple divisions the club has made the decision to focus primarily on the AA1 and AA2 competition for the 2017 season.
Matches are played on a Sunday with training taking place on a Wednesday night at 7pm. Our home games and training sessions take place at Paine Reserve on Rainbow Street, Randwick. Barnstoneworth United are always looking for new players to join their two all age men's teams so feel free to come to training and try out.
Although the main reason we get together is to play football on a Sunday, Barnstoneworth United prides itself on being a social club. Being involved in club nights out and post-match drinks at the Coach and Horses is a vital part of the clubs identity.
